You can call this one a cocktail or a shot – I’ve seen it both ways. Although I couldn’t find an interesting back story on the “recipe,” I did find a few funny and possibly illegal variations that I’ll list below.

What’s In A Three Wise Men Shot?

This one is hardcore.

The classic version calls for equal parts Johnnie Walker Scotch, Jack Daniels Whiskey, and Jim Beam Bourbon.

Do not ask me who came up with the idea of taking these prudent fellas on excursions to switch up the spirits.

My money is on a creative bartender -hope he or she got a good tip:)

Mr. Jim Beam

1/2 Ounce = 33 Calories, 0 Carbs

The Classic Shot

• ½ Ounce Johnnie Walker
• ½ Ounce Jack Daniels
• ½ Ounce Jim Beam

Three Steps To Mix It

Pour everything into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Shake it for 30 seconds or until you just can’t take it anymore:)

Strain & serve in a freezer-chilled shot glass!

Three Wise Men Cross The Border – Add ½ Ounce Jose Cuervo Tequila

Three Southern Men – Jack Daniels + Jim Beam + Jose Cuervo – No Johnnie Walker because he was a Yankee.

Three Men Take An Acid Trip – Add ½ Ounce Absinthe (Which may or may not be legal/available???)

Three Tropical Men – Jack Daniels + Jose Cuervo + Captain Morgan with a tiny umbrella- obviously:)
